CJ CheilJedang invites global talents to join our 2025 Global Summer Internship at our Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. This intensive 8-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Software Engineering. You’ll work on innovative software development projects that focus on designing, building, and scaling technology solutions that optimize CJ’s business operations, data management, or automation processes.

Job Description

03 What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be fully integrated into CJ CheilJedang’s IT and Software Development Team at our Seoul Headquarters.

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Software Development: Design, develop, and implement software solutions to support CJ’s business needs, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Automation and Optimization: Work on automating business processes and improving system efficiencies by developing scripts, tools, and platforms.
  • Data Management Solutions: Assist in building data management systems that allow for efficient data processing, storage, and analysis.
  • Collaborative Engineering: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including product managers and other developers, to ensure software solutions are well-integrated and meet business requirements.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure that applications are secure, efficient, and functioning as expected.

Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in software development while contributing to projects that support CJ’s global business operations and technological innovation.

04 Who You Are

[Minimum Qualifications]


  • Commitment: Able to commit to an on-site, full-time internship.
  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college or university outside of South Korea, pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology), with an expected graduation date by December 2025.
  • Relocation: Willing to relocate to our CJ CheilJedang offices in Seoul, South Korea, for the duration of the internship.
  • Travel: Possess a valid passport and are able to travel internationally.
  • Post-Graduation: Open to starting a full-time position upon graduation.

  • Technical Expertise: Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript), with experience in software development, system design, or automation.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions that solve complex business problems.
  • Experience: Prior experience in software development or related fields through internships, projects, or coursework is preferred.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work in a cross-functional team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Cultural Competency: Openness to living and working in Korea, with the ability to engage effectively with global teams.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Korean or additional languages is a plus.
