CJ CheilJedang invites global talents to join our 2025 Global Summer Internship at our headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. This immersive 8-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public relations, with a specific focus on traditional media relations and article-based outreach. We are seeking candidates with expertise in crafting stories for international media, building relationships with journalists, and ensuring consistent, accurate representation of CJ CheilJedang in global publications. Familiarity with AP style and prior experience working with media outlets are highly desired.

03 What You’ll Do

As a Public Relations Intern at CJ CheilJedang, you’ll be deeply involved in supporting the company’s efforts to increase its presence in traditional media across global markets. 

Your key responsibilities include:


  • Media Relations and Article Placement: Develop and nurture relationships with international journalists and media outlets, focusing on placing articles and features about CJ CheilJedang in respected publications.
  • Press Release and Article Writing: Draft press releases and articles for international publications in AP style, ensuring clear and engaging communication that aligns with CJ’s brand and messaging.
  • Global PR Research and Strategy: Conduct research on global media landscapes, identifying opportunities for CJ CheilJedang to engage with international press and developing strategies for media outreach.
  • Content Development for Articles: Collaborate with the team to create compelling, in-depth articles that tell CJ’s story—ranging from its leadership in the food industry to its role in expanding K-food globally.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor international media coverage, track CJ’s presence in traditional media, and compile reports analyzing media performance and public perception.
  • Media Outreach Support: Assist in the logistical support of media outreach efforts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of press materials to global journalists.

Through this internship, you will develop a balanced skill set, combining deep analytical expertise with strategic business insight, while making a tangible impact on CJ CheilJedang’s global business growth.

04 Who You Are

[Minimum Qualifications]


  • Commitment: Able to commit to an on-site, full-time internship.
  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college or university outside of South Korea, pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s (including MBA), or doctoral degree, with an expected graduation date by December 2025.
  • Relocation: Willing to relocate to our CJ CheilJedang offices in Seoul, South Korea, for the duration of the internship.
  • Travel: Possess a valid passport and are able to travel internationally.
  • Post-Graduation: Open to starting a full-time position upon graduation.

[Qualifications]


  • Experience with Traditional Media: Experience in working with traditional media outlets, particularly in writing and placing articles.
  • AP Style Proficiency: Strong familiarity with AP style and experience in drafting articles, press releases, and other forms of written media content.
  • Media Relations: Experience building relationships with journalists and editors, with a focus on securing coverage in international publications.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct detailed research on media outlets and global markets, identifying opportunities for strategic PR efforts.
  • Cultural Competency: Adaptability and openness to living and working in Korea, with a strong ability to engage effectively with diverse global markets.
  • Interest in Corporate Communications and Food Industry: A strong interest in working with traditional media, especially within the global food industry.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Korean or other languages is a plus.
