CJ CheilJedang invites global talents to join our 2025 Global Summer Internship at our R&D Center in Suwon, South Korea. This intensive 8-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Food R&D, specifically in Nutrition. You’ll work on projects aimed at enhancing the nutritional value of our food products, while balancing factors such as consumer preferences and cost efficiency, contributing to CJ’s commitment to creating healthier, more nutritious food solutions.

03 What You’ll Do

You’ll be fully integrated into CJ CheilJedang’s Nutrition R&D Team at our Suwon R&D Center, where you’ll contribute to the development of innovative food products focused on improving their nutritional profile. 

Your key responsibilities include:


  • Nutritional Product Development: Conduct research and development activities aimed at improving the nutritional value of food products, focusing on key nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
  • Consumer Health Focus: Design and implement solutions that cater to the growing consumer demand for healthier food options, ensuring that nutritional improvements align with consumer preferences and market trends.
  • Cost Efficiency Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop nutrition solutions that balance enhanced nutritional value with cost efficiency, ensuring the commercial viability of product innovations.
  • Ingredient Research: Conduct research on alternative and functional ingredients that can enhance the nutritional profile of products, with a focus on natural and sustainable options.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all nutritional innovations meet regulatory requirements in key global markets, including the alignment with dietary guidelines and labeling standards.

Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in nutrition research and product development, contributing to projects that support CJ CheilJedang’s mission to deliver healthier, nutritious food to consumers around the world.

04 Who You Are

[Minimum Qualifications]


  • Commitment: Able to commit to an on-site, full-time internship.
  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college or university outside of South Korea, pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nutrition Science, Food Science, Biochemistry), with an expected graduation date by December 2025.
  • Relocation: Willing to relocate to our CJ CheilJedang R&D Center in Suwon, South Korea, for the duration of the internship.
  • Travel: Possess a valid passport and are able to travel internationally.
  • Post-Graduation: Open to starting a full-time position upon graduation.

[Qualifications]


  • Relevant Academic Background: Majoring in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Biochemistry, or another closely related field is a must.
  • Nutrition Focus: Strong interest and understanding of nutrition science, including knowledge of how to improve the nutritional value of food products.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analyze data related to nutrition, ingredient functionality, and product development.
  • Experience: Prior experience or coursework in food product development, nutrition science, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop nutrition solutions that align with both consumer health trends and commercial viability.
  • Cultural Competency: Openness to living and working in Korea, with the ability to engage effectively with global markets.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Korean or additional languages is a plus.
