CJ CheilJedang invites global talents to join our 2025 Global Summer Internship at our headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. This intensive 8-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business analytics, focusing on both data-driven research and strategic business analysis within the food industry. It’s designed for individuals who not only excel in analyzing complex data but also possess strong strategic thinking skills to develop actionable insights that drive CJ’s global market entry and expansion strategies. As a Business Analytics Intern, you’ll be pivotal in researching new market opportunities, crafting market entry strategies, and performing comprehensive risk analyses that align with CJ’s business objectives.

03 What You’ll Do

You’ll be fully integrated into the CJ CheilJedang Seoul HQ Business Analytics Team, where you’ll combine advanced data analytics with strategic business analysis to support key decision-making processes. Your role will be crucial in shaping CJ’s approach to entering new markets and ensuring sustainable growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Data-Driven Market Research: You will conduct quantitative research to analyze market size, growth potential, and competitive landscapes in new markets, leveraging both data analytics and business acumen.
  • Market Entry Strategy Development: You will develop comprehensive market entry strategies, using your analytical skills and strategic thinking to propose actionable and sustainable entry plans that align with CJ’s business goals.
  • Risk Analysis and Strategic Mitigation: You will perform in-depth risk analyses to identify potential challenges in market entry, developing strategies to mitigate these risks while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Strategic Business Analysis: Beyond data analysis, you will assess broader business implications, integrating market insights with economic, cultural, and operational factors to formulate well-rounded recommendations.
  • Reporting and Strategic Recommendations: You will compile your findings into detailed reports and present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, directly contributing to CJ’s global expansion strategy.

Through this internship, you will develop a balanced skill set, combining deep analytical expertise with strategic business insight, while making a tangible impact on CJ CheilJedang’s global business growth.

04 Who You Are

[Minimum Qualifications]


  • Commitment: Able to commit to an on-site, full-time internship.
  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college or university outside of South Korea, pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s (including MBA), or doctoral degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026.
  • Relocation: Willing to relocate to our CJ CheilJedang offices in Seoul, South Korea, for the duration of the internship.
  • Travel: Possess a valid passport and are able to travel internationally.
  • Post-Graduation: Open to starting a full-time position upon graduation.

  • Analytical Expertise: Strong proficiency in data-driven and quantitative research, with the ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of effective market entry strategies and business analyses that align with CJ’s objectives.
  • Experience: Prior experience in business analytics, strategy consulting, or related fields through internships, projects, or coursework is preferred.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and other analytical tools, coupled with the ability to apply these skills within a broader business context.
  • Cultural Competency: Strong adaptability and openness to living and working in Korea, with the ability to understand and engage effectively with diverse global markets.
  • Interest in Business Expansion and Food Industry: A deep interest in global business expansion, particularly in the food industry, with a passion for integrating data insights with strategic business decisions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Korean or additional languages is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with data visualization tools and proficiency in MS Office or related software for data analysis and presentation.
